Yucca Valley woman arrested after 3-year-old found high on THC

Police have announced the arrest of a Yucca Valley woman after a 3-year-old was hospitalized, testing positive for THC.

The young girl was taken to a hospital by a family member after discovering her in an altered state of consciousness on August 22, according to a news release. The victim was examined by medical personnel and tested positive for THC in her system.

The 3-year-old became unresponsive and was taken by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center. She was hospitalized for an undisclosed amount of time and was later discharged to a family member.

Investigators determined the victim lived in Yucca Valley with Yaniece Murbury. Following an extensive investigation, Murbury was arrested on August 23 for willful cruelty to a child.
