The roadside alert sign was on the onramp to the 15 from Adams Avenue in San Diego and has since been fixed. Caltrans did not find it funny at all.
“People who break into electronic signs endanger the public safety by distracting motorists and interfering with important messaging,” Caltrans spokeswoman Cathryne Bruce-Johnson told the LA Times.
Valid point. They should probably just go ahead and build a huge wall around these signs to keep them safe.
