A 26-year-old Riverside man was arrested after he led authorities on a pursuit from Palm Springs to Banning Friday morning.
About 9:20 am, a PSPD K9 officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of N. Indian Canyon and E. San Rafael Road. As the officer drove towards the car, the driver fled, driving through a red light, according to police.
Officers pursued the vehicle north on Indian Canyon and then westbound onto the 10 Freeway, until the suspect got off on 22nd street and stopped in a fast food parking lot. The driver identified as Adrian Rosales, then fled on foot.
Rosales was located a short distance away by officers. A records check of the vehicle revealed it was stolen in Riverside, CA on January 7th. Investigators also learned that Rosales had a felony warrant for his arrest and was on probation in Riverside County.
Rosales was transported to the Smith Correctional Facility pending the charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, driving a stolen vehicle, felony evading police, felony warrant and probation violation.
