The Palm Springs Post Office on Amado Road was closed Thursday morning as officials worked to repair the damage after a van crashed into the facility Wednesday night.
The Palm Springs Fire Department told KESQ that the driver of the van was not injured. The driver was trying to park the van but somehow ended up driving through the front door instead. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol was a factor.

The post office is located on Amado Road, just across the street from Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs (formerly Spa Casino).
Those looking to get mail from their PO Boxes will likely be able to do so this afternoon. There is no timeline when the retail section of the building will be back up and running.
