Singer Ariana Grande made a surprising stop into Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore this week to lick some of the shop’s unsold inventory and insult America. Well, she is sorry about that.

Just a day after TMZ released a video of Grande and her backup dancer boyfriend licking multiple doughnuts and her saying she “hates America”, the singer has issued a statement and would like to let you know that it is not The United States of America she hates – just obesity…or something:

Grande has also been replaced at next week’s Major League Baseball All Star Game Concert (a thing that exists) by Demi Lovato – but claims it is because of oral surgery:
