Is There an In-N-Out in Palm Springs? Closest Locations & Distances

Updated: This post was refreshed to reflect the current In-N-Out locations closest to Palm Springs (because apparently Palm Springs still refuses to give the people what they want).
If you are in the desert for a vacation, convention, or visiting grandma, sooner or later you will most likely get a craving for a tasty Double-Double, fries, and a shake from the best fast food burger joint in America. So where’s the closest In-N-Out Burger in Palm Springs?
I decided to post this as I have had several friends who got a room in downtown Palm Springs over the last couple of months text me asking where the nearest In-N-Out Burger is and figured that this could help out the thousands of visitors to the city (and all desert cities) who don’t have my phone number and needed a delicious cheeseburger in their life as quickly and easily as possible.
So here’s the deal: there is no In-N-Out Burger in the city of Palm Springs. Bummer, I know. But there are several In-N-Out locations close by in the Coachella Valley (aka “Greater Palm Springs” if you’re feeling fancy). Here’s where to go.
Thousand Palms
This is typically the closest In-N-Out to Palm Springs. It’s not exactly surrounded by tourist attractions, but it makes a solid stop if you’re already out near the Coachella Valley Preserve.
Address: 72265 Varner Rd., Thousand Palms, CA 92276
Rancho Mirage
If you’re hanging around The River / Rancho Mirage area (or just want a slightly less “pit stop” vibe), this one’s an easy option.
Address: 42560 Bob Hope Dr., Rancho Mirage, CA 92270
La Quinta
Festival people: yes, you know this one. If you’re staying anywhere near La Quinta, Indian Wells, or south Palm Desert, this location is usually the most convenient.
Address: 78611 Hwy. 111, La Quinta, CA 92253
Indio (Hwy. 111)
This is the classic Indio spot, and it’s still a go-to if you’re anywhere near central Indio or passing through on 111.
Address: 82043 Hwy. 111, Indio, CA 92201
Indio (Ave 42 / North Indio)
Yep, there’s also another Indio location now, up near Ave 42. Great news for anyone staying up that way (and for people who don’t want to battle the 111 stretch).
Address: 82177 Ave 42, Indio, CA 92203
Cabazon
If you’re driving into (or out of) the valley via the 10, this one is basically sitting there waving at you next to Morongo and the outlets. Dangerous levels of convenience.
Address: 49188 Seminole Dr., Cabazon, CA 92230
Enjoy your In-N-Out Burger and Palm Springs!
No In-N-Out in Palm Springs, but honestly, a short drive for a Double-Double is a pretty fair trade for mountains, palm trees, and winter weather that makes the rest of the country jealous.
