Perhaps you have been following Palm Springs resident Barry Minniefield as he competes on NBC’s “The Voice“. While Adam Levine thought Barry had enough talent to be on his team and advance in the competition, KMIR staffers did not think as highly of the singer.

During a recent story profiling Minniefield, KMIR’s Gloria Rodriguez admits that KMIR judges failed at recognizing Barry’s talents three separate times during some promotion thing the TV station did a while back:

Luckily for Barry, the “audience loved him so much” he was chosen to audition for ‘The Voice’ as a “fan favorite”. Thank God for the audience eh?

KMIR also notes that Barry is scheduled to sing at Billy Reed’s and VUE, but Gino won’t be attending.
