A man who allegedly showed a replica handgun to another driver was tasered and then arrested Thursday by Palm Springs Police.

Police were called to the grocery store at 1:10 p.m. after reports that a man, who was described as a white man in his late twenties, pulled a gun on another driver in the area of the Ralphs grocery store on Ramon Road and Sunrise Way, according to KESQ.

Officers quickly found the suspect’s vehicle in the Ralphs parking lot and the suspect refused to cooperate with authorities.

Shoppers and employees of the store were told during this time to stay inside the store.

The suspect then yelled to police that they were going to have to shoot him. Police then tasered the man and he was taken into custody.

On the suspect’s passenger seat was a replica handgun.
