Less than a month ago, protestors of some fairly reasonable gun measures gathered around Palm Springs City Hall. Today, this happened:

Maybe it is just a coincidence? Or maybe not.
The price of the increased security was $9,079, reports the Desert Sun. There will also be extra costs for security to staff it.
