An Oktoberpets fest is happening Sunday at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter is throwing a huge Oktoberpets festival on Sunday complete with a pet costume contest, food, a root beer garden, and a chance to bring home a new furry family member for just .

On hand will be a bunch of lovable dogs and cats who are waiting for their forever homes. All pets over 6 months will be only require a $20 fee. To adopt, bring a valid photo ID and be 18 or over. All our pets are microchipped and spayed or neutered. If you have dogs already, the shelter asks for meet-and-greets for dogs to make sure they get along with their new sibling.

You can see the animals currently at the shelter here.  Adopters will go home with goodies, including a free meal from Chef Tanya’s Kitchen too!

The event will take place at the shelter, 4575 East Mesquite Avenue, and will get started at 11 am with free wellness seminars. Here’s the lineup:

The pet costume contest will be at 4:30 pm. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. in East Demuth Park directly across from the Shelter. You can get more info here.

Everyone who attends can bring a canned pet food donation or donate money to be eligible for raffles.
