The Living Desert is expanding hours now through New Year’s Eve

Looking for something fun to do while the kids are on winter break? You can now check out the Living Desert for a few extra hours as the zoo has extended their hours now through New Year’s Eve.

The park will remain open from 9 am to 7 pm from December 26 though December 31. During the extended hours, guests will can see animals including giraffe, cheetahs, zebras and warthogs – plus there are camel rides, carousel rides, and the Living Desert is adding a special animal care keeper chat at 6 pm.

And for those who missed out on WildLights, or just want to check it out again, the zoo will also be turning on all the lights as soon as the sun goes down.

“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy a few extra hours exploring the park and marveling at the holiday lights,” said Dawn Petrick, the Living Desert’s Director of Park Services.

During the extended hours, regular admission prices apply prior to 5 pm, with admission reduced to $8 members and $10 for non-members. Last entry is at 6 pm.
