I Can Not Stop Staring at This Crazy Joshua Tree House!
A shack in Joshua Tree used mirrors to create a crazy looking optical illusion – and now I just can not stop looking at it!
Artist Phillip K Smith III replaced the shack’s siding with mirrors in 2013, creating the effect that you are looking through the structure
According to Smith, “Lucid Stead is about tapping into the quiet and the pace of change of the desert. When you slow down and align yourself with the desert, the project begins to unfold before you. It reveals that it is about light and shadow, reflected light, projected light, and change.”
While the art installation ended in 2014, the house will live on forever in pictures. See more of the house and how it was created in this video. I will just be over here continuing to stare at this house!
