The Palm Springs estate that once belonged to Bob Hope and his wife Dolores is known throughout the world. Just don’t try to get close to it when you are in the Coachella Valley.
Actor Joel McKinnon Miller (“Big Love,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) discovered this over the weekend as he tweeted out a couple of signs that greet any would-be visitor:

Yikes. But the “Bob is Dead” message is not all…

Ahhh, so that’s what they are doing in that house these days.
The signs are posted on a gate behind several stores in South Palm Springs and the road behind them is not the actual road to the house, but it’s close enough and they are pretty funny. Heck, I am sure Bob would laugh if he was alive to see them today.
The estate sold for $13 million in November of 2016, down from its original asking price of $50 million. The 23,366 square foot home sits on over six acres and comes with 10 bedrooms, 13 full or partial bathrooms, tennis courts, pool, waterfall, and, judging by its shape, might be able to fly deep into space.
